450g ground meat (blend of beef and pork)
3 sesame seed buns for hamburger
3 slices of cheddar or your favorite cheese
Crinkled lettuce, shredded
1 tomato, sliced
Pickles, sliced
Red onion, thinly sliced and lightly caramelized
BBQ Sauce
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
2.25 tablespoons ketchup
1.125 tablespoons honey
1.125 teaspoons mustard
1.5 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
How to make cheeseburger. Step by step
- In a bowl, mix BBQ sauce, ketchup, honey, mustard, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
- Form three patties from the ground meat, adjusting their size to fit the buns. Season each patty with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Grill the patties on a preheated grill or pan for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness. In the last minute of grilling, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover to melt the cheese.
- While the patties are grilling, prepare the buns and slice the tomato, onion, and pickles.
- On the bottom half of each bun, place crinkled lettuce, then add a patty with melted cheese. Top with tomato slices, pickles, caramelized onions, and drizzle with BBQ sauce. Cover with the top half of the bun.
- Serve the cheeseburgers immediately, and provide extra BBQ sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
